Black is another custom made dress for him. Almost all that comes from “black” music ends up in its repertoire and then in its shelves. Polyphonic Dj, Filippo Tazzer is also a major catalyst for ideas. The sound of the UK underground Sandro Rocchigiani goes by the stage name of DJ Dras and was born in Nuoro on November 30th, 1984. He approached the world of DJing at 16 and was particularly drawn to turntablism and the art of scratching. He subsequently developed a passion for jazz, soul, funk, hip hop, breakbeats and electrodance. In the following years, DJ Dras worked on his craft and played opening DJ sets for internationally recognized artists. In 2007, DJ Dras joined Nuoro’s hip hop group Limbudos, with whom he toured Sardinia doing live performances and simultaneously playing opening DJ sets for local and national underground bands. DJ Dras played in numerous lounge and cocktail bars between Nuoro, Sassari, Alghero and Porto Ferro, bringing with him his blend of summery and downtempo atmospheres. It was through such experiences that DJ Dras discovered a new musical potential, in which he combined his technical and rhythmic knowledge with new influences that included trip hop, lounge, nu jazz and acid jazz, all the way to deep and soulful house music. Benedetto Floris aka Bettosun Born in Cagliari in 1974, Bettosun starts buying records from the age of 15, starts playing as a DJ from the age of 20. His sound is influenced by multiple musical genres but he prefers electronics with deep pad and funk shooting. He has mixed for the most important Sardinian electronic music events (Basstation and Nightsounds to name a few) and in the most important clubs of the island with some appearances abroad in Barcelona at the Moog, City Hall and Macarena. Due to the desire to escape, and a vague sense of inner awe filled exclusively by music, Dj Datch started getting closer to the world of clubbing. At first he was inspired to explore the different types of electronic music although passion leads him to a broader evolutionary path. He also started playing in the most important clubs of his native land, Sardinia. His performances began to take an intense musical form of personal communication with the obsessive use of drums, almost like stabbings, in a progressive growth up to mesmerize the listener : explosion then restart. Next step is outside Italy, turning a utopia into reality : Tresor Club in Berlin. DJ Datch found a context of sound research, find a chemistry that makes developing a personal style characterized by techno sounds, dark and hypnotic in combination with hints of experimental dub. Laseech is considerate to be one of finest Croatian artists. His fine music selection soon established his status on the eclectic and soulful house music scene. Laseech started collecting records at young age and soon after his talent for music selection and DJing were noticed on the local scene. Tom Strauch aka Dogu (Ancient Astronauts) is a hip hop music producer from Germany. 2001 was the year that gave birth to Switchstance Recordings, the independent music label founded by Tom Strauch in Moers / Germany (now located in Cologne). The idea was to give a platform to the music of a bunch of friends, always with one eye on the urban music scene and the other one on the international boardsports culture. Amicably greeting goodbye to the Summer, an off-centering summer indeed, the summer of the post-lockdown nonetheless quite a momentous summer for me. The summer of a few but essential ethical evenings spent with friends-artists-DJs and record collectors. My ultimate vinyl dj set with jazzy house tracks and some breakbeats made with two decks and a valve rotary mixer. My name is Marco Cabras and I was born in Cagliari, Sardinia in 1974. My approach to music has always been, from early adolescence, as a simple music lover. I started DJing at parties at about twenty years old, offering funk, soul, latin jazz and much more. At the same time I have always followed the house and techno scene, especially from Chicago and Detroit but also the European one. In my latest mixes performed with the latest records I have tried to propose classics of the past with more recent tracks.
Originally recorded at the room in Sassari by the legendary djs of Associazione Culturale Mossa , the group behind Discovery Sardinia . COSTANZO SOLINAS – FRANCESCO BOTTEGHI – LUCA SANNA 1998 the MOSSA group, formed as a cultural association, organized the first festival dedicated to jazz dance sounds in Alghero, which included some of the most important names on the Italian and international music scene of the moment. We remember: Paolo Achenza trio and Quintetto X, in that period leading groups of the Italian soul jazz phenomenon, and appreciated in the best European jazz clubs. The activity of the MOSSA cultural association was incessant until the end of the nineties. In September 2003 the first international event was organized in Alghero. The collective of Dj’s VIBEZONE, from Copenhagen, which includes Dj’s Tony M and Katrine Ring, are invited to participate in this event. The group’s activity is now underway and in March 2004 the first weekend dedicated to soul music and related genres takes place, Soulful Easter Weekender. Remembering master Cuban percussionist Candido, celebrating 80 years of Tom Moulton, channelling the good spirits to understand diversity and going full circle. Lost in rhythms, lost in the depth of music with a message, searching for answers or reminders: life is such a funky – sexy journey with music around us so we should never be dismissive and yes, most definitely ‘you can dig it baby’. It’s about being consciously alive, feeling, flowing, generating body heat, shaking up the body cells, embracing the cosmic energy and exchanging it for it to manifest. We are transmitters, my message from me to you, without excluding myself, is about being humble and safe, about being gentle, open and caring for one another. Bottom line, there is no better place in this world than our own life, this is the ultimate essence of it all and cannot be escaped: we gotta engage with it and as they say, we are going to be okay. Groove boutique the brand new mix series hosted by Mirko B Mirko Buffoni, aka Mr. MirkoB, was born in Sardinia, Italy, in 1977. He is a musician, producer, remixer, live performer, drummer, specialized in computer music. In 1993, he started to play different musical instruments. When he was 17, he learnt to play drums and later he associated drums with electronic music. Until 1997, he played rock music mixed with many other influences. In those years, he played with several bands in different live concerts and he realized two p ro d u c t io n s . Since 1997, he has carried out a project which blends electronic music with instrumental rock by using sequencers, synths and samplers. The band formed by such project is nationally and internationally recognized. The music that he created during the years was reproduced in more than 1500 live performances in clubs, festivals, rock concerts, European tours . He has more than 40 electronic music productions, 2 rock productions, different official clips, festival live videos, compilations….

Gigi Carbini was born in Sassari in 1997. Since he was 15 he started taking part in the city’s nightlife, first as a promoter later as an event planner in Sassari’s main clubs such as: T’riciclo, Touch Club and Enjoy Privé, where he performed as a resident Dj. For three summers he brought his experience to Alghero, where he played as a Resident dj at Ruscello disco. In 2020 he became resident Dj at Maden Club and Riservato Beach Bar.
